The
Mercury is an all-suite hotel that has a great
location on Collins Avenue. The hotel is
designed with a nice Mediterranean feel, but
the real attributes of the Mercury are in the
guestrooms. The large rooms have oversized
bathrooms with a whirlpool spa, well-designed
kitchenettes and mini-bars, two TVs and a
living room with a couch.
The
Abbey's location in the heart of the Art Deco
district combined with its reasonable rates make
it compelling choice for visitors to Miami.
Only one block from the beach, the Abbey is
suited to vacationers, but retains the sober
service required of business travelers. The
on-site restaurant is locally renown and
provides room service 18 hours a day.
One of the more
popular hotels in South Beach, the Savoy hotel
offers great service in luxurious
surroundings. Some of the on-site extras
include a champagne and cigar bar with
poolside breakfasts and deluxe limousine
service available upon request. Located
directly on Ocean Drive the hotel is in the
heart of the action, but still offers you a
peaceful night's sleep.
This
region of South Beach is famous for the
concentration of over 800 Art Deco buildings in
a one-square-mile area.
Inspired by the distinctive architectural
style of the 1930s, the buildings are often
painted in fabulous colors. Visit the Art Deco
District's Welcome Center for more information
and to take a walking tour of the
neighborhood.
Often
called "America's Riviera", South
Beach is one of the best places in the world
to see and be seen. With hip boutiques and
restaurants, beautiful people, a fantastic
beach, and a unique multi-cultural rhythm,
it's easy to think you're on the Mediterranean
rather than just a few minutes from downtown Miami.
Vizcaya
is a treat for fans of Italian-Renaissance
architecture, 15th- to 19th-century furniture,
and sheer opulence. A fantastic 34-room
villa and garden, Vizcaya is the result of
millionaire industrialist James Deering's
pursuit of the finest in designs, artwork, furniture
and landscaping.
